Traffic School Frequently Asked Questions

How much do I have to pay to take your online auto insurance reduction class?
The cost of GoToTrafficSchool.com's online defensive driving or insurance reduction course varies from state to state.  However, we offer the lowest prices in our industry.  If you find a competitor in your state which offers the same type of course at a lower price, give us a call and we'll beat that price.

What does the process for taking GoToTrafficSchool.com's online defensive driving/ticket dismissal class include?
There are two (2) basic types of online defensive driving classes GoToTrafficSchool.com offers:  ticket dismissal and insurance reduction.  Because GoToTrafficSchool.com's courses are offered online, you are free to take your course on any computer that has internet access and you may stop as often as you want to and pick up from where you left off later.  GoToTrafficSchool.com's online defensive driving or online ticket dismissal or online insurance reduction courses are divided into chapters, and in turn each chapter is divided into different sections.  You will be given a short, multiple-choice quiz at the end of each chapter.  The chapter quizzes are only to help you get ready to take the final exam at the end of the course, and they are not for a grade.  After you pass the final exam at the end of the course (yes, you can retake the final if you don't pass it the first time at no extra charge), GoToTrafficSchool.com will promptly send you your completion certificate via regular mail or via FedEx, whichever you prefer.
How many breaks are given during the defensive driving/ticket dismissal/insurance reduction course that GoToTrafficSchool.com offers over the internet?
As many as you want!  GoToTrafficSchool.com's defensive driving/ticket dismissal/insurance reduction online course is designed for you to stop and start up again whenever you like.  There is no limit to your amount of "break time", nor a limit on how many breaks you get.  You can't get that if you take defensive driving in a classroom!
Is GoToTrafficSchool.com's online driver safety/insurance reduction course approved for insurance reduction where I live?
GoToTrafficSchool.com's online defensive driving course is approved for insurance reduction in many jurisdictions across the country.  To find out if it's approved in yours, you can either click on "Register" and "Select State" on our website.  You will be given information regarding approval and other relevant information pertaining to the online defensive driving course you wish to take.  However, to be absolutely certain, you may want to call your local insurance agent to see if GoToTrafficSchool.com's online course would suffice for a reduction in your insurance premium.
Am I eligible to take online defensive driving for ticket dismissal where I live?
GoToTrafficSchool.com explains eligibility requirements in your state when you sign up to take the online defensive driving/ticket dismissal course.  Most states only allow you to dismiss 1 ticket during a period ranging from 1 to 5 years.  If you are uncertain as to whether your ticket is dismissable by taking GoToTrafficSchool.com's online course, we suggest you ask your local court which is handling your case.
Could I enroll in GoToTrafficSchool.com's defensive driving or driver improvement internet class instead of signing up to take defensive driving in a classroom?
GoToTrafficSchool.com's internet defensive driving or driver improvement class can be taken instead of taking defensive driving in a traditional classroom setting.  However you will need to find out from the local court handling your case if GoToTrafficSchool.com's program is approved for ticket dismissal in your state or jurisdiction.  Or, if you're looking to take GoToTrafficSchool.com's online course to have your insurance costs reduced, you will need to check with your insurance agent first.
Is it allowable to have more than one (1) traffic ticket taken off my driving record by taking the GoToTrafficSchool.com defensive driving/driver improvement online course?
No.  In most cases, courts only allow one (1) ticket dismissal for successfully completing GoToTrafficSchool.com's online defensive driving/ticket dismissal course.  Additionally, almost every state and jurisdiction only allows one (1) ticket dismissal over a period of time (1 year, 2 years, and sometimes 5 years depending on how tough your jurisdiction is).

To see if any of your tickets are eligible for dismissal, go to GoToTrafficSchool.com's website and select your state & jurisdiction.  Eligibility details are provided.  If not, then please contact the traffic court which is handling your case and see which (if any) of your tickets are eligible for dismissal.
Does the GoToTrafficSchool.com online defensive driving course require me to verify my identity?
It depends on your court that issued your traffic violation. If the court that has jurisdiction over your traffic citation requires some form of ID verification, we will let you know at registration after you select your court. While most courts do not require ID verification, a few courts in may require ID verification in the form of a proctored online traffic school final exam, a notarized defensive driving final exam answer sheet or through the use of online ID verification via a limited credit check. The purpose of ID verifications in online defensive driving, online traffic school and online point reduction courses is to verify that you are who you say you are prior to completing the final examination. This is how courts make sure that somebody else is not taking the GoToTrafficSchool.com driver safety course in your place.
