Traffic School Frequently Asked Questions
How much is GoToTrafficSchool.com going to stick me for if I take your online driver improvement or your online defensive driving course?
The prices of our defensive driving or driver improvement online courses fluctuate depending on which state you are in, but please know that our prices are the lowest in our industry. If you find a competitor's price which is lower than ours, just let us know and we'll lower our asking amount from you.
How exactly do the GoToTrafficSchool.com online classes work?
The first thing you need to do is register on GoToTrafficSchool.com's website to enroll in the defensive driving class you would like to take. There are two (2) basic types of defensive driving classes--one if for ticket dismissal and the other is for insurance reduction.
GoToTrafficSchool.com's online defensive driving/insurance reduction courses are divided into chapters, with each chapter sub-divided into sections. You will need to take a short, multiple-choice quiz at the end of each chapter. These chapter quizzes aren't for a grade, they merely are designed to help you get ready for the final exam at the end of the course (yes, that IS for a grade!).
As you work throught the course, you may stop as many times as you want and then start up again right from where you left off. It is not necessary to take the entire course all in one sitting, or complete it all on the same day.
After you have completed the entire course and passed the final exam, GoToTrafficSchool.com will send your certificate to you by regular mail or, if you wish to pay extra for faster delivery, by FedEx.
Can I take some of GoToTrafficSchool.com's online defensive driving/driver improvement/insurance reduction course now and some of it later?
It is not necessary for you to take the entire GoToTrafficSchool.com's online defensive driving/driver improvement/ticket dismissal/insurance reduction course all at once. You may stop as much as you wish and start up again from where you left off. You can't do that if you take defensive driving in a classroom!
Is GoToTrafficSchool.com recognized in my state as being sufficient for ticket dismissal purposes?
How can I find out if I am eligible to get a ticket dismissed by taking GoToTrafficSchool.com's online defensive driving course?
In most states, you are only allowed 1 ticket dismissal every 12-24 months (sometimes even longer periods) by taking GoToTrafficSchool.com's online defensive driving/ticket dismissal course. Also, some traffic citations cannot be erased from your record (like street racing or reckless driving which results in you killing somebody). GoToTrafficSchool.com explains eligibility requirements during the registration process, however to be safe you may want to check with your local court to make sure that taking GoToTrafficSchool.com's online course will get your ticket dismissed.
Would taking GoToTrafficSchool.com's defensive driving class online get my insurance reduced the same as a defensive driving classroom class would?
GoToTrafficSchool.com's defensive driving online course can serve as a substitute for a traditional, several-hour classroom course. However, we recommend that you first check with your local insurance agent to see if your carrier accepts GoToTrafficSchool.com for insurance reduction purposes.
Is the GoToTrafficSchool.com defensive driving/driver improvement online class good for dismissing multiple tickets all at once?
No. Courts normally will only allow you to have a single ticket dismissed by successfully completing GoToTrafficSchool.com's defensive driving/driver improvement online class. Also, if you have already had a prior ticket dismissed, you may not be eligible for another ticket dismissal at this time. Many states & jurisdictions only allow defendants one (1) ticket dismissal over a period of 12-24 months (and once every 5 years in some states). If you are uncertain as to whether you are currently eligible for ticket dismissal, we recommend that you contact your local traffic court which is overseeing your case and ask if any of your current traffic citations can be taken off your driving record.
What is GoToTrafficSchool.com's procedure(s) for confirming the identity of its customers who need to take the online defensive driving/driver improvement course?
It depends on what your local court's rules are regarding identity verification. If the court in your jurisdiction requires you to verify your identity, we will let you know at the time you register to take GoToTrafficSchool.com's online defensive driving/driver improvement/ticket dismissal course. You may have to take a proctored final exam, have your answer sheet notarized, or the court may order a limited credit check be run on you.
